PhilJets expands its operations with an acquisition of two brand new H130 helicopters

Philjets managing director Thierry Tea told reporters Friday that the company is now expanding its capacity and will soon be investing for its third hangar. The company is looking to putting up its third facility in Cebu or Davao.Currently, the firm has two hangars in Manila International Airport (MIA) in Pasay City since it started its operation in January 2013 Further, Philjets marketing manager Boris Chevreau also said that they expect to double revenue by end2015 to Php50 million to Php60 million from Php25 million to Php30 million at end2014. The latter value was the same revenue level during its first year of operation. “We don’t expect a big revenue during our first year [of operation] since we focus on developing the company, our services, and safety of our aircrafts,” Chevreau said. Aviation services company PhilJets announced Friday March 27, 2015 that it is offering helicopter tour packages of famous tourist destinations in the Philippines such as Mount Pinatubo, Corregidor, Taal Volcano,Banaue Rice Terraces and Punta Fuego, Batangas. “We want to promote the Philippines and promote aviation because we are aviation enthusiasts and we believe the Philippines has a lot of wonders to offer,” Thierry Tea, Managing Director of PhilJets said in an interview. “We created tours to Corregidor, Banaue Rice Terraces, Mount Pinatubo (because) our objective is to show to the outside world that when you come to the Philippines, you can have an incredible experience,” he said. Some tour packages are already complete such as the Corregidor Land Tour which includes the helicopter trip to and from the island and a three-hour land tour with guide and jeepney ride. Up to six people can be included in each tour through PhilJets’ Airbus EC130 T2 helicopters that have just been imported into the country from France. MANILA, Philippines — Six of the brand new AW109E Power helicopters commissioned by the Armed Forces of the Philippines arrived on December 20 in the country. They are now being assembled at the Agusta Westland authorized maintenance center, for delivery in the coming weeks. 1. PAF and Philippine Navy, hand-in-hand. Four units will be dedicated to the Philippine Navy operations, whilst the PAF (Philippine Air Force) will receive the two remaining. According to Defense Undersecretary for Finance Manalo’s state news report last Wednesday, “they are now being assembled and according to the timeline I received, they will be flown very soon to Clark, Pampanga for testing and acceptance.”. This delivery marks the first delivery step of the P1.3-billion aircraft purchase signed by the Department of National Defense in 2013 with the Anglo-Italian manufacturer AgustaWestland. This acquisition is part of a larger P3.44 billion project to enhance mission capability of the Philippines Department of Defense, in particular on Aerial operations.   2. The Crew & Missions. Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Delgado, Philippine Air Force commanding officer, also announced that the six pilots for the brand-new AgustaWestland AW-109 attack helicopters who went for a training last July returned to the Philippines on December.
