GrabCar, which became the first ride-sharing app to accept cash transactions for rides, has added credit and debit cards to its payment options. Passengers of GrabCar, GrabCar+, and GrabHeli now have the option to pay with their credit or debit cards through GrabPay. “Now that we’ve established the brand, we want to be able to reach out to the credit card users and make the app accessible to virtually anyone with a smartphone,” Khriztina Lim, country head of Marketing for GrabTaxi Philippines, told reporters on the sidelines of a launch in Pasay City. The company is now certificated to service commercially or privately operated aircraft in the Philippines. Thierry Tea, managing director of PhilJets Group said: “This new license represents another step forward for PhilJets in its goal to develop a nose-to-tail approach to Aviation services in the Philippines and for all its customers.” In parallel of this certification, PhilJets also renewed this year its AMDC license (Aircraft Material Distributor Certificate). For Business Aviation, PhilJets Aero Services’ scope ranges from distribution of products such as spare parts, consumables, and aviation products, to provision services including representation, maintenance and repair, advisory, and aircrafts sales. PhilJets Aero Charter is active in aircraft management, ground handling, time share, fractional ownership, charter services and helicopter tours. We started from ground zero merely two years ago, and now PhilJets has grown its helicopter business to a USD 10 million solid practice, and had successfully taken part in 15 aircraft sales transactions. What’s the latest from your company? PhilJets Aero Services most recently received its AMO License, paving the way for the development of our MRO capabilities.
